Hello to all of our wonderful
Hope Kids Parents!
We hope you are well and enjoying family time in the 6-week holidays. Praying for lots of fun and memory making!
We want to firstly say a huge well done for this year- from isolating with toddlers, to brushing up on your algebra for Zoom home schooling. It's been a challenging year not only for our kids, but for you as parents and guardians too. We have been amazed at how you have journeyed it with faith, patience and a newfound passion for woodland walks!
We also want to give a big round of applause to all our Hope Kids- you are SUPERSTARS! We have loved seeing some of you in our family services, and those that have been on our Zoom sessions too! The Hope Kids Team have been working hard this year to keep sharing God's love and to keep us all connected.
We are thrilled to say that as restrictions begin to ease, we can welcome back our Explorers, Adventurers and Trail Blazers to in-person services. From 19th September 2021, we are hoping to back to weekly services with an all-new look, feel and lots of excitement and fun.
We will have some fun-filled packs for the kids to enjoy when they are in the 'grown up' services and please don't be worried about making noise, we are a family church and love having all the generations together. (If you are feeling worried, just have a look over to Jo and I and a sprawl of colouring books and snacks- it's a holy mess! Ha!).
September will also be bringing with it some exciting new changes to our Hope Kids Team.
For the last three years, the fabulous Morayo Abdul has been leading our kids ministry and she couldn’t have done a better job. She is so loved by all the kids and has given her VERY best! Mo is just about to start a brand new job as a Primary School teacher, and with this change in season has felt her time leading Hope Kids has come to an end. We want to say a HUGE thank you to Mo, for all she has poured into our children and are praying this next season is one of favour and blessing! Feel free to thank Mo in person when you see her, she will still be part of the church and so you’ll see her around! Check out this goodbye message from Mo. WE LOVE YOU MO!
Alongside Mo, Kyle and Sabina have been leading in kids for the last four years and, especially through COVID, have done a brilliant job of bringing our kids ministry online. From September Kyle and Sab will be working more closely with you as families, strengthening and supporting you as parents through Connect Groups, courses, and care. As parents of three children themselves they are so passionate about raising godly, healthy, happy children.
With these changes we will be bringing in 3 brand new team leaders to bring something new and fresh to Hope Kids, and leading the charge of this awesome team are our newly appointed Hope Kids Pastors…drum roll please… Simon and Claire Parkinson!!!
Simon and Claire have been our Connections Pastors, caring for new people and new christians and are so passionate about people. As parents of two beautiful children Evie and Alfie, they have a passion to share Jesus to this generation and make sure our Kids are having the best time!
Jo and I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter for you as families and we know God is going to wonderful things in our children’s lives.
Simon and Claire will be in touch soon with information about September, so keep your eyes peeled for that. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email or see us on a Sunday.
Sending all our love!
Jo and Lo Willis
