Share the Light

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16

Jesus called His people to be a light on a hill that others could see. We are here to be His hands and feet, bringing support and hope to the world around us. Mission is part of our core values here at C3 Hope and fundamental to who we are.

Each day through the work of our Foundation we touch the lives of people across our community in very real and practical ways. Every day we are tackling disadvantage, inequality, poverty, isolation, loneliness and worklessness.

This is the church in action. This is OUR church in action.

As a house built on generosity, we want to ensure that the impact we are making continues to go from strength to strength. Whether it’s providing emergency food, early years education and support for pre-school children and families, or support for our most vulnerable, our commitment is to extend ourselves on behalf of those in need.

There’s no better time for us to do this than at Christmas when many families face acute difficulty and lack.

Share the Light is our way, as a church family, of saying ‘we love our community’. It’s our way of attaching action to our faith. It’s our way of making a real and tangible difference to people at their point of need. It’s our way of outworking the heart behind our recent Missions Month across the coming year.

Join us as we seek to BE the light and to SHARE that light across our city!

Thank you for your generosity! Every penny will help write a positive and life changing story in many lives across our local community and beyond.

"Thank you so much for the food hamper it helped my family both financially, physically and emotionally. I don't know how we would have managed at such a stressful time."

Our Goal

In order to help secure the future of our vital work in the community our target, as a church family, this year is to raise £25,000 between now and the end of January 2022. All giving from this campaign will go straight into Hope Community Foundation.

One-off donations will initially go towards our Christmas Hampers appeal aiming to provide up to 200 Christmas Hampers to local families. All surplus and remaining donations will be ringfenced and invested in the vital and ongoing work of the Foundation.

How will I know the impact we have made?

We will continue to issue our regular monthly email newsletter updates covering the work of Hope Community Foundation and identifying specific areas where your generosity has made an impact. We will also share our progress on Sundays, so our church can celebrate the journey and the impact we are making in people’s lives.
