Vision Builders
Annual Offering
It’s incredible to think that a year has passed since we took up our last Vision Builders offering. So much has happened - many have encountered Jesus, been baptised into new life in him, found hope through our missional outreach and many more have been added to His Kingdom and our church family. Just look at what God has done through your outstanding generosity

It’s that time of year again where we come to our Heavenly Father with the first and the best of what we have, in worship and adoration of Him for all He has done for us. What a joy it is to unite in this endeavour!

It’s incredible to think that a year has passed since we took up our last Vision Builders offering. So much has happened - many have encountered Jesus, been baptised into new life in him, found hope through our missional outreach and many more have been added to His Kingdom and our church family. Just look at what God has done through your outstanding generosity.

Our values as a church are simple; family, discipleship, and mission. I think we can all agree that we have seen these values outworked in wonderful ways this year.

Our prayer this year is simply: ‘Your Kingdom come.’

In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray. The line that we, as believers, should be compelled to believe for is ‘Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.’

It’s beautiful to see glimpses of that happening amongst us: in our Groups across the city, midweek in all our Community Foundation Projects, on a Friday night in a nightclub through the Red Frogs team and in Hope Kids on a Sunday morning, just to name a few amongst many other places. This is a glimpse of Gods Kingdom on earth!

Our overwhelming feeling in this season is that in order to draw in the great catch God has for us, we have to firstly ‘prepare the nets’.

In Luke 5, we read about Jesus calling his first disciples, experienced fisherman who’d caught nothing all night. When Jesus encourages them to cast their nets on the other side of the boat, they haul in such a catch that it begins to break their nets, requiring other boats to help.

We believe there is a catch beyond that which we’ve seen before. As a church family, our desire is to have our ‘nets’ ready:

⁃ Ensuring our building can accommodate the growth of services, ministries, and outreach projects.
⁃ Providing intentional discipleship for all, especially those in the emerging generations.
⁃ Continuing to spread the good news of Jesus throughout this region and further afield.
⁃ Supporting, equipping, and empowering every church member for ministry in their world.

With Vision Builders approaching, join with us as we all commit to praying, to seeking God and to considering what contribution we can make towards God’s work in our city and region.

This is not a time to tip God, it’s a time to double down on our commitment to him. As we all rise together in dedication and faith, we believe that we will witness His Kingdom come in Sheffield, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham and beyond as it is in heaven.

One of us can put 1,000 to flight, two can put 10,000 to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30). We believe that together, each of us playing our part, we will shape the future and see His Kingdom unfold before our eyes.

Thank you for your generosity. Let’s see His Kingdom come!

Our prayer is simple

What we're
giving to this year

Family
Raising up the emerging generations; developing, equipping and releasing leaders and influencers of all generations into their God-led faith adventure.
Discipleship
Strengthening Discipleship and Pastoral care; continuing to emphasise and develop our discipleship pathways and multiplication within our Groups.

Mission

Meeting the needs of those on our doorstep here in Sheffield, and those further afield.

We're also committing to continue to the work needed to bring The Hope Centre to life, saving the team time and resources to spend elsewhere in renovating the building that's bringing Hope to our community and facilitating all the work we're doing.
