C3 Hope Building Caretaker
Position Type: Part Time (25 hours/week)
Join our brilliant staff team at C3 Hope!
We are seeking a dedicated and practical individual to join our team as our new Building Caretaker! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in caring for spaces and enjoys making things work behind the scenes, ensuring The Hope Centre is safe, clean, and ready to serve our church and community every day.
As a key part of our team, you’ll be responsible for the daily care and upkeep of the building, working closely with the Facilities Manager to make sure our vibrant and much-loved centre is always at its best. Your work will support everything from Sunday services and community events, to meetings and conferences — helping to create a welcoming and well-functioning environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out minor repairs and maintenance, keeping the building functional, safe, and well-presented.
- Supervise & Support Teams: Oversee cleaners, porters, volunteers and apprentices, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and with great team spirit.
- Security & Safety: Act as a keyholder, support fire safety and emergency procedures, and help manage building access during services and events.
- Facility Operations: Set up spaces for events and bookings, monitor building systems, and respond promptly to operational issues.
Joining our team means playing a practical yet pivotal role in seeing the Gospel in action — helping to build church, serve people, and create a space where lives can be changed. You’ll be part of a supportive staff team where your work matters, and where training and development are valued and available to help you grow both professionally and personally.
